55 Seizing or securing evidential material

(1)

If a WELS inspector seizes or secures evidential material on WELS premises, the WELS inspector must give the occupier of the premises a receipt for the material.

(2)

The Regulator may make copies of the material.

(3)

The Regulator may examine or test the material, even though that might result in damage or destruction of the material or a reduction in its value.

(4)

The Regulator must return or release the material when the first of the following occurs:

(a)

the material is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was seized or secured;

(b)

the period of 90 days that begins on the day on which the material was seized or secured ends.
