27 Contracting out

(1)

Any agreement purporting to waive or abrogate any right, power or duty created by this Act, or otherwise to defeat the purposes of this Act, is to that extent void.

(2)

Nothing in this section precludes a waiver of rights in accordance with a provision of this Act.
