20 Qualifications of certain members of Panel—the Act, s 6(2)(a)–(d)
For the purposes of the Act, section 6(2)(a), the prescribed qualifications for persons nominated by the New South Wales Vice-Chancellors’ Committee are—
experience in animal research, and
involvement in animal welfare.
For the purposes of the Act, section 6(2)(b), the prescribed qualification for persons nominated by Medicines Australia is experience in animal research.
For the purposes of the Act, section 6(2)(c), the prescribed qualifications for persons nominated by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, New South Wales are—
membership of the Society as at the date of nomination, and
involvement in animal welfare.
For the purposes of the Act, section 6(2)(d), the prescribed qualifications for persons nominated by the Animal Societies’ Federation (NSW) are—
membership of a member group of the Federation as at the date of nomination, and
involvement in animal welfare.
