Legal capacity and welfare of children

Nothing in this Part—

(a)

affects the operation of a law that relates to the legal capacity or the legal entitlements, obligations or disqualifications of persons who are under 18 years of age, or

(b)

affects the operation of a law the object of which is to protect the welfare of those persons, including provisions of the criminal law that are designed to protect them.
