52 Notice of disciplinary action to other Boards
When the registration of an architect is cancelled or suspended or any condition is imposed on the registration of an architect—
the Board must without delay notify particulars of that action to the local registration authority of each neighbouring jurisdiction, and
the Board may notify particulars of that action to the local registration authority of any other jurisdiction.
The Board is required or authorised to act under this section despite any law relating to secrecy or confidentiality.
This section does not affect any obligation or power to provide information under the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 of the Commonwealth or the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 of the Commonwealth.
In this section—
local registration authority of a jurisdiction means the person or authority in the jurisdiction having the function conferred by legislation of registering persons in connection with the carrying on of architecture in the jurisdiction.
registration includes the licensing, approval, admission, certification (including by way of practising certificates), or any other form of authorisation, of a person required by or under legislation for the carrying on of the practice of architecture.
