Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018

A document signed by the Secretary (or by an officer prescribed by the regulations) and certifying any one or more of the relevant matters specified in subsection (2) is admissible in criminal or civil proceedings under this Act and (in the absence of evidence to the contrary) is evidence of the matters so certified.

The relevant matters are as follows—

that a specified person was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, a registered certifier,

that registration held by a specified person was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, subject to a specified condition or was or was not suspended,

that a specified person was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, an accreditation authority,

that an approval held by a specified person was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, subject to a specified condition or was or was not suspended,

that a specified person was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, an authorised officer,

that any particular or other matter was or was not, at a specified time or during a specified period, included on the register,

any other matter prescribed by the regulations.
