47 Appointment of officers
(1)
The appointment of all public officers under the Government of New South Wales is vested in the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council or in a person authorised by legislation to make the appointment.
(2)
This section does not apply to the appointment of—
(a)
members of the Executive Council and Ministers of the Crown or the holders of any other political office, or
(b)
persons referred to in section 47B (other than the Clerk of the Parliaments or of either House of Parliament or any other officer of the Parliament designated by order of the Governor).
