Crimes (Forensic Procedures) Act 2000

An authorised applicant may apply to a Judge for an order under section 81F.

An application must—

be made in writing, and

specify the type of forensic procedure to be carried out, and

specify the purpose for which the forensic procedure is to be carried out, and

be supported by evidence on oath or by affidavit in relation to the matters which the Judge is to take into account, as referred to in section 81F (2), and

specify whether or not the consent of the parent or guardian of the child has been sought and, if it has, whether that consent was withdrawn or could not be obtained.
