15 Employment in certain occupations
Section 12 does not apply in relation to an application by a person for appointment or employment as a judge, justice of the peace, police officer, member of staff of Corrective Services NSW (within the meaning of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999), or the Office of the Sheriff, Department of Communities and Justice, teacher or teachers aide.
Section 12 does not apply in relation to an application by a person for a clearance under, or to the risk assessment of the holder of a clearance under, the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Worker Checks) Act 2018 or a law of another State or Territory that corresponds to either of those Acts.
Section 12 does not apply in relation to a conviction of a person for arson or attempted arson if the person seeks to be appointed or employed in fire fighting or fire prevention.
