Creation of certificates for activities outside NSW
171 Creation of certificates for activities outside NSW
The scheme rules may make provision about the creation of certificates in relation to an activity, or class of activity, that produces renewable fuel in another jurisdiction, if an approved corresponding scheme is in operation in the jurisdiction.
The Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, approve a corresponding scheme for the purposes of this clause only if the Minister is satisfied that—
the corresponding scheme is intended to promote activities that produce renewable fuel, and
the objectives of the corresponding scheme are consistent with the objectives of the renewable fuel scheme established by this Part, and
the monitoring and enforcement of compliance with the corresponding scheme to be approved is no less stringent than the monitoring and enforcement of compliance with the renewable fuel scheme established by this Part.
