What a Network Administration Order authorises
76C What a Network Administration Order authorises
A Network Administration Order authorises the Tribunal to take control, in accordance with the terms of the Order, of the operation of the distribution or transmission system concerned for the purpose of ensuring the continued safe, secure and reliable supply of electricity.
The Tribunal is to appoint a step-in operator on terms and conditions determined by the Tribunal to operate the distribution or transmission system concerned in accordance with the terms and conditions of the step-in operator’s appointment and the directions of the Tribunal.
Neither the Tribunal nor the step-in operator is required to hold a licence to operate a distribution or transmission system under the authority of a Network Administration Order.
The Tribunal or the Minister may revoke the appointment of a step-in operator at any time.
