42 Protection from liability
(1)
No liability is incurred by the State, the Treasurer or the Chief Commissioner, a person acting under the direction of the Treasurer or the Chief Commissioner or any person or body engaged in the administration of this Act or the Taxation Administration Act 1996 in respect of anything done, or omitted to be done, in good faith in the exercise of or to enable the exercise of a function conferred by this Part.
(2)
In this section—
liability includes liability for defamation.
the State includes the Crown in right of the State and the Government of the State.
