To avoid doubt, Part 2 of Chapter 8 of the Local Government Act 1993 applies to a local council’s functions under this Act.

Note.

Part 2 of Chapter 8 of the Local Government Act 1993 enables local council employees to enter premises and conduct inspections for the purpose of enabling a local council to exercise its functions. These powers could be exercised in connection with the local council’s classification functions under this Part or other functions under this Act.
