74 Certificate of analysis
This section applies to an analysis that is carried out—
by an approved laboratory, or
by an approved analyst, or
under the supervision of an approved analyst,
for the purposes of this Act.
On completion of an analysis to which this section applies—
the person in charge of the laboratory at which the analysis was carried out, or
the approved analyst who carried out the analysis, or
the approved analyst who supervised the carrying out of the analysis,
is to give the person who requested the analysis, or an agent of the person, a certificate of analysis, in the approved form, that complies with the requirements of subsection (3).
The certificate of analysis must—
be dated and signed by the person in charge of the laboratory at which the analysis was carried out or by the approved analyst who carried out the analysis or who supervised the carrying out of the analysis, and
contain a written report of the analysis that sets out the findings, and
specify the requirements, if any, of the Food Standards Code relating to the carrying out of the analysis and certify that the analysis was carried out in accordance with those requirements.
