56 Power to hold inquiries
(1)
Where the Secretary is of the opinion that to do so would be in the public interest or in the interest of any person who is a contributor or who has entered into a pre-paid contract, the Secretary may hold an inquiry into the affairs of a funeral fund, including the operation and financial circumstances of the fund, or into such of those affairs as the Secretary may determine.
(2)
Where the Secretary decides to hold an inquiry under this Division, the Secretary shall forthwith notify the funeral fund concerned in writing of that decision.
