Appointment and identification of inspectors
20 Appointment and identification of inspectors
The Secretary may appoint a Public Service employee to be an inspector for the purposes of the gaming and liquor legislation.
The Secretary is taken to have been appointed as an inspector.
The Secretary is to cause each inspector to be issued with a means of identification in the form approved by the Secretary.
In the course of exercising the functions of an inspector under the gaming and liquor legislation, the inspector must, if requested to do so by any person affected by the exercise of any such function, produce the inspector’s identification for inspection by the person unless to do so would defeat the purpose for which the functions are to be exercised.
