(1)
The Secretary is to cause to be kept a record of—
(a)
every application for an opal prospecting licence that is made, and
(b)
every opal prospecting licence that is granted or cancelled, and
(c)
the amendment of any opal prospecting licence, and
(d)
the variation of any opal prospecting licence.
(2)
The record must be kept in the approved form and must contain the particulars prescribed by the regulations.
(3)
The record must be kept available for inspection, free of charge, by members of the public at such office or offices of the Department as the Secretary determines.
