Mining Act 1992

The holder of an authorisation may apply for a review by the Minister of the Secretary’s assessment of the amount of the security deposit that may be required for the authorisation.

The application must—

be made in the way, and contain the information, prescribed by the regulations, if any, and

–(d) (Repealed)

be accompanied by any fee required by the regulations, and

be lodged with the Secretary within 28 days after notice is given to the holder of the authorisation of the assessment or within such other period as the regulations may prescribe.

The holder of an authorisation is not entitled to apply for a review under this section if the assessment concerned has previously been reviewed under this section.

This section applies in respect of a revision of an assessment in the same way as it applies in respect of an assessment.
