Notification of application for mineral claim
67 Notification of application for mineral claim
A person—
who, before the date on which amendments made by the amending Act to section 177 took effect, applied for a mineral claim over any land other than Crown land (within the meaning of that section, as in force immediately before that date), and
whose application was not determined before that date,
must serve notice on any person entitled, under that section as amended by the amending Act, to be notified of a proposed application.
Such a mineral claim is not to be granted unless a copy of a notice served as required by subclause (1) has been lodged in the same manner as the application.
The notice is taken, for the purposes of section 179, as amended by the amending Act, to be a notice under section 177, as so amended.
