Power to enter premises without warrant

Current

(1)

A police officer may at any reasonable time enter any premises at which—

(a)

a business of dealing in scrap metal is being carried on, or

(b)

the police officer reasonably believes such a business is being carried on,

for the purposes of determining whether there has been compliance with, or a contravention of, this Act.

(2)

This section does not confer a power to enter any premises or part of premises that are used only for residential purposes without the permission of the occupier or the authority of a search warrant.
