Security Industry Act 1997

This clause applies to a licence if—

the licence was validly granted and in force immediately before the substitution of section 15(1) by the amending Act, and

the licence could not be granted to the holder if the application for the licence were made immediately after the substitution because the holder—

is a registrable person or corresponding registrable person within the meaning of the Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act 2000, and

has reporting obligations under that Act.

The licence is not affected by the substitution and continues in force.

However, the substitution applies when the licence is sought to be renewed.
