2.161 Development permitted with consent
Development for the purpose of water reticulation systems may be carried out by any person with consent on any land.
Development for the purpose of water treatment facilities may be carried out by any person with consent on land in a prescribed zone.
Development for the purposes of water storage facilities may be carried out by or on behalf of a public authority with consent on land other than land in the following zones—
Zone RU1 Primary Production,
Zone RU2 Rural Landscape,
Zone SP1 Special Activities,
Zone SP2 Infrastructure.
Nothing in this section requires a public authority to obtain consent for development that is permitted without consent by section 2.159 or 2.159A.
