Strata Schemes Development Act 2015

The Governor may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, for or with respect to any matter that by this Act is required or permitted to be prescribed or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.

Without limiting subsection (1), the Governor may make regulations for or with respect to any of the following—

the preparation of plans and documents for the purposes of this Act,

the plans and documents that under this Act may be lodged with the Registrar-General,

the registration by the Registrar-General of plans and documents,

the fees to be paid in relation to the lodgment with, and registration by, the Registrar-General of plans and documents and the supply by the Registrar-General of copies of registered or other plans and documents,

the forms to be used for the purposes of this Act.

A regulation may impose a penalty not exceeding 2 penalty units for an offence under the regulation.

The regulations may include provision for or with respect to the increase on an annual or other basis in accordance with a formula prescribed by the regulations of fees prescribed by the regulations.

A fee can be prescribed by the regulations either as a specified amount or an amount calculated or determined in a specified manner.
