Teaching Services Act 1980

The Governor may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, for or with respect to—

the examinations to be held and qualifications required for appointment to a position in the Teaching Service,

the appointment, powers, duties and responsibilities of officers and temporary employees of the Teaching Service,

the arrangement of positions in the Teaching Service into divisions,

appeals to the Secretary,

the employment of persons under section 50,

the training, certification, classification, resignation, retirement, punishment, dismissal or leave of absence of officers and temporary employees of the Teaching Service,

the maintenance of order, economy and efficiency in the Teaching Service,

the classification, general management and inspection of schools, and

any matter that by this Act is required or permitted to be prescribed or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to the provisions of this Act concerning the Teaching Service.
