Transport Administration Act 1988

The transport policy and planning function of TfNSW includes the function of advising, assisting and making recommendations to the Minister in connection with the following—

the development of policy (including regulatory policy) for or in connection with the implementation or enforcement of the transport legislation,

the development of policy (including regulatory policy) for promoting and improving road safety, road travel efficiency and road traffic management,

policy and planning for or in connection with ports and maritime matters,

the initiation, development and implementation of proposals for the amendment of the transport legislation and other legislation relevant to the functions of TfNSW.

In this clause, a reference to the Minister includes a reference to any Minister administering any provision of the transport legislation or other legislation relevant to the functions of TfNSW.
