6 Abolition of former bodies
In this clause—
former body means the Workers Compensation Advisory Council established by the Minister before the commencement of the 1998 amending Act, the Board of Directors of the WorkCover Authority of New South Wales constituted under the WorkCover Administration Act 1989 or the Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Council of New South Wales constituted under that Act.
The former bodies are abolished.
A person who held office as a member of a former body immediately before its abolition ceases to hold office and is not entitled to any remuneration, or compensation, for loss of that office. However, any such person is eligible (if otherwise qualified) to be appointed to a body constituted under the 1998 Act.
