176 Commencement of Part 4B of Building Act 1993
If, before the commencement of Part 4B:
(a)
a building permit had been granted in respect of building work;
and
(b)
the owner of the land on which the building work is to be carried out had commenced to carry out the building work;
the person may, after that commencement, continue to carry out the building work as if Part 4B had not commenced despite that the building work is building work to which the Part would otherwise apply.
