277 Attempts to commit offences
(1)
Any person who attempts to commit an offence is guilty of an offence.
(2)
If the offence attempted to be committed is an indictable offence he is, unless otherwise stated, guilty of an indictable offence.
(3)
If a charge of the offence attempted to be committed may be heard and determined summarily, a charge of the offence of attempting to commit the offence may also be heard and determined summarily.
