17 Payment of deposit
Where the Minister has determined under section 16 that a deposit is payable in respect of the grant of an estate in fee simple or a lease, a person shall, on entering into a contract for the purchase of the land or the lease, as the case may be, pay the deposit to the
Territory and, if the person does not complete the purchase as required by the contract, the deposit shall be forfeited to the
Territory.
