109 No cross-examination of child

(1)

A child who gives evidence by written or recorded statement need not appear at the hearing and cannot be cross-examined in relation to the child's evidence.

(2)

The prohibition against cross-examination of a child in subsection (1) applies whether or not a defendant is represented by a legal practitioner.
