45 Register of enrolments and attendances
The principal of a Government school must ensure that a register is kept that shows, in respect of all students enrolled in the school, the information about their enrolment and attendance prescribed by regulation.
The principal of a Government school must ensure that the register is available for inspection by the CEO at any time during a school day.
The principal of a Government school commits an offence if the principal fails to comply with subsection (1) or (2).
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
An offence against subsection (3) is an offence of strict liability.
It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against subsection (3) if the defendant has a reasonable excuse.
