15 Civil remedies and common law not affected
(1)
Except where expressly provided for, this Act is taken not to affect a civil right or remedy available to a person in relation to conduct, or a failure or refusal to engage in conduct, to which this
Act applies.
(2)
Compliance with this Act is not of itself evidence that a common law duty of care has been satisfied.
