72 Show cause process
The Minister must not refuse to grant an environmental approval unless the Minister has first complied with this section.
The Minister must give written notice (a show cause notice) to the proponent:
stating the Minister's intention to refuse to grant the environmental approval; and
asking the proponent to show cause why the environmental approval should be granted.
The show cause notice must specify the date by which the proponent may show cause.
The date specified in the show cause notice must be not less than 10 business days after the date of the notice.
The Minister must consider any response given by the proponent to the show cause notice in making a decision under section 69.
