Part applies to all smoke alarms

To avoid doubt, this Part (other than regulations 13A and

13B) applies in relation to a smoke alarm installed in residential premises or a moveable dwelling even though the smoke alarm is not required to be installed under regulation 13A.

(2)

However, this Part does not prevent the owner of residential premises or a moveable dwelling from removing a smoke alarm that is not required to be installed under regulation 13A.
