24 Fisheries management advisory committees
(1)
For the purposes of assisting the Director in preparing proposed plans and giving advice in relation to management plans, the Minister may, as the Minister thinks fit, from time to time establish and, after having due regard to the users of an area or fishery, appoint members to an advisory committee for each management area or managed fishery.
(2)
Each such committee must be chaired by a person nominated by the
Minister and may include members representing Aboriginal, commercial, processing, wholesaling, retailing, recreational, consumer, or other interests in the area relating to fishing, fish, or aquatic life.
