24 Effect on geothermal exploration permit and permit area
(1)
The term of a geothermal exploration permit and the permit area are not affected by:
(a)
an application for the grant of a geothermal retention licence over or within the permit area; or
(b)
the refusal by the Minister to grant a licence.
(2)
However, the grant of a geothermal retention licence within the permit area excises the licence area from the permit area.
(3)
The permit continues in force for the permit area that remains after the licence area is excised.
