35 Provision for guide-dogs or hearing dogs
Notwithstanding any other law in force in the Territory:
a person who is wholly or partially blind or deaf is entitled to be accompanied by a guide-dog or hearing dog, as the case may be, into a building or place open to or used by the public for any purpose whatsoever or into a vehicle, vessel or craft used for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward and shall not be guilty of an offence by reason only that the person takes that dog into or permits that dog to enter such a building, place, vehicle, vessel or craft; and
an occupier or person in charge of a building or place open to or used by the public or in charge of a vehicle, vessel or craft used for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward shall not refuse entry into any such building, place, vehicle, vessel or craft, or deny accommodation or service to a person who is wholly or partially blind or deaf, by reason only that the person is accompanied by a guide-dog or hearing dog.
Maximum penalty: 4 penalty units.
