644 Constitution
The Law Society must have a written constitution.
The constitution must provide for the following matters:
classes of membership;
management of the Society's affairs by the Council;
election of members of the Council;
the powers, functions and proceedings of the Council;
membership fees and levies;
the funds and accounts of the Council.
(3) The constitution may also provide for other matters the Council considers desirable.
Subsections (2) and (3) have effect subject to this Part.
(5) The Society must file a copy of the constitution with the Commissioner for Consumer Affairs within one month after the commencement date.
