Enforcement of judgment

(1)

An action to recover moneys due under a judgment of a court is not maintainable after the expiration of a limitation period of 12 years from the date on which the judgment first becomes enforceable.

(2)

For the purposes of this section, a judgment of a court of a place outside the Territory (not being a judgment of a court of the

Commonwealth) first becomes enforceable in the Territory on the date on which the judgment first becomes enforceable in the place where the judgment is given.
