Absence of party

Part 33Hearing of proceedings

33.02 Absence of party

If a party is absent when the hearing of proceedings is called on, the Court:

(a)

may:

(i)

proceed with the hearing and give judgment;

(ii)

strike out the claim or dismiss the proceedings; or

(iii)

adjourn the hearing; and

(b) may make any other order it considers appropriate, including an order for costs.
