39.01 Interest on judgment and costs
(1)
Subject to subrule (2) and unless the Court orders otherwise, every judgment debt carries interest from the date of judgment at the rate fixed in accordance with rule 59.02 of the Supreme Court
Rules 1987.
(2)
A judgment debt for costs awarded or fixed by the Court carries interest, at the rate referred to in subrule (1), from the date the costs are fixed or allowed at taxation unless the Court orders otherwise.
