41 Birdsville Horse Disease
(1)
A person shall not slaughter a horse, donkey, mule or hinny for human consumption if it exhibits signs of being affected by
Birdsville Horse Disease.
Maximum penalty: 200 penalty units.
(2)
A person shall not slaughter a horse, donkey, mule or hinny for pet food if he or she knows, or has reason to suspect, it has been in an area in which Birdsville Horse Disease occurs.
Maximum penalty: 200 penalty units.
