17 Declaration of isolation area
(1)
The Administrator or Minister may, by notice in the Gazette, declare an area to be an isolation area.
(2)
A declaration under subsection (1) made by the Minister is effective only:
(a)
until the expiration of such period, not exceeding 2 years, as is specified in the declaration; or
(b)
until a like or inconsistent declaration under that subsection relating to the area becomes effective;
whichever first occurs.
