Commissioner may request non-disclosure of information

In force

(1) The

Commissioner may, by written notice, ask the Ombudsman not to disclose stated information to a party to a police complaint or in a report prepared under this Part.

(2) The notice must state the reasons for the request.

(3) The

Ombudsman must consider the request and refuse it or agree to it.

(4) The

Ombudsman must give the Commissioner written notice of the

Ombudsman's decision and, if the request is refused, the reasons for the refusal.
