Ombudsman Act 2009

(1) This section applies to the following persons:

(a) an officer of a public authority who is required under section 54(d) to give the Ombudsman help;

(b) a police officer or public sector employee who is required under section 54(d) (as applied by section 89) to give the

Ombudsman help.

(2) The person must comply with the requirement.

Fault element: Strict liability offence.

Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units.

(3) It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against subsection (2) if the defendant establishes a reasonable excuse.
