59 Lighting fires
(1)
A person must not, unless authorised to do so under a permit granted under the Fire and Emergency Act 1996, light or maintain a fire in a public place under the care, control or management of the council other than in a designated fire place.
(2)
If an authorised person is of the opinion that a person is contravening clause (1), the authorised person may direct the person to put out the fire.
