15 Cost of restoration and compensation
(1)
In addition to any penalty imposed by a court for an offence against regulation 14, the court imposing the penalty may order that the person found guilty of the offence pay to the lessee, the
Territory, or such other person as the court directs the cost of or likely to be incurred by the lessee the Territory or other person in restoring any damage resulting from the guilty person's action and an amount of compensation for the loss.
(2)
A court mentioned in subregulation (1) has the jurisdiction and power to assess the amount of damages or compensation.
