Petroleum (Submerged Lands) (Application of Commonwealth Laws) Regulations 2004

For paragraph (b) of the definition of regulations in Schedule 4 to the Act, the Commonwealth OHS Regulations apply (with the necessary changes) for that Schedule.

The prescribed Commonwealth Regulations apply (with the necessary changes) as a law of the Territory.

Without limiting subregulations (1) and (2), changes to the Commonwealth Regulations include the following:

an expression in the Commonwealth Regulations that is the same as an expression defined in the Act has the same meaning as in the Act;

a reference in the Commonwealth Regulations to a provision of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967 (Cth) is a reference to the corresponding provision of the Act;

a reference in the Commonwealth Regulations to the Designated Authority is a reference to the Minister.
