59 Extension of period of permit
The owner of land to which a development permit applies, or a person authorised in writing by the owner, may, at any time before the permit lapses, apply to the consent authority for an extension of the period of the permit.
An application under subsection (1) is to be in the approved form and accompanied by the prescribed fee.
On receipt of an application under subsection (1), the consent authority may:
extend the period of the permit as it thinks fit; or
refuse to extend the period of the permit.
If the consent authority makes a determination under subsection (3) other than in accordance with an application, it must give to the applicant a statement of its reasons.
