54 Manner in which notice in writing may be given
A notice in writing for the purposes of this Act may be given:
to any person, by delivering it by hand or by sending it by post in a letter addressed to that person at his last known or usual place of abode or place of business;
to any body or association of persons, by delivering it by hand to the secretary or other proper officer of the body or association, or by sending it by post in a letter addressed to him at the last known or usual place of business of the body or association; or
to persons generally or to persons included in a class of persons or to persons in any area, by publication of the notice in a newspaper circulating in the Territory.
